ABC's of casting resin

I am a complete newbie at creating acrylic pen blanks.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good source of info on casting resin and obtaining good swirled colors?

Is this done using off-the-shelf polyester resin and hardener?

Tips? Leads?

Take a look on the IAP home page. There are two articles, one by Jay Pickens and the other by Anthony Turchetta. Read the one by Jay first then look at the one by Anthony. All you need to know to get started is in those two excellent articles. Good luck.
