.9mm pencil

Hi.

New member, fairly novice penturner. New topic, first post. After lurking, I really enjoy this forum!!!

I have a request for a .9mm pencil. Does anyone have suggestions for pencil kits to use, and where to get the mechanism?

It may not be the easiest to do, but I've started playing with the Pentel idea (search and you'll find a how-to in the library here)...

My local office store has the pentel style kit in .5, .7 and .9.

I've just started these myself, and they are not the 'easyist' thing, but they aren't impossible either.

Are those complete pencils or kits at the ofice supply store?

They are purchased as complete pencils, but they are easily dis-assembled to turn into kits. Look for the Don Ward tutorial here: http://www.penturners.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13730

To the best of my knowledge, PSI, Berea and CSUSA do not sell 0.9mm pencil kits.

There is a new vendor on IAP that does appear to sell such kits but you will have to purchase in large quantities and pay big shipping charges as the kits come directly from China. Quality may also be an issue?
