Well, it's that time of year again for me.

Each year I spend a few months making a large selection of pens and try to make up for all the ones I sold the last year.

I plan them all out at once, mark them all at once, cut them all at once, tube them all at once, mill them all at once, ream them all at once and CA the tips of each at once. This takes two full weekends and then I'm ready to pick up 10 at a time and turn them and CA them etc.

This year I'm having a go at making a full size emperor FP. I'm matching it up with some flame red Box Elder burl that is absolutely off the charts.

Here is this year's list.

Great production line Stephen. I have done similar, but not to the amount you have. I found it was much quicker to use this method than to do one or two at a time.

I love the different variety in your choice of blanks.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

It's in picture 3, which shows the left edge of the table. Its third row up and third from the left, also top left corner of the same picture. It's extreme red, so don't look for a typical box elder color.

Way to organized for me... I usually just grab 20 or so blanks and make 20 pens of one type. Then move to the next type of pen and grab another 20 blanks.

I see a couple of notes that seem to say "Vampire Diaries" (Pic 1 bott. left; Pic 2 bott right) .... is that a style of blank ?

Seems that most of your blanks are wood ... wood pens must sell well for you.

I have a block of Oak that was taken from the house they used to film Vampire Diaries. I was able to get a block of it when the house was demolished. It's old growth Oak and has some beautiful figure to it.

Make that 90!

All cut, drilled, tubed, milled, reamed and the ends CA'd.

90 pens ready to throw on the lathe. I'll probably take about 10 each weekend and turn and CA to finish.
