I was curious as to what 2.99 with free shipping on an eBay pen from Shanghai would be like. I thought some of you might be interested in the result and it sort of boggles my mind when I sell a nice fountain pen for 60 to 90 dollars. The nib is quite good and I did a tiny bit of polishing on a 12000 micro pad.

Here are some pics. Please excuse the poor quality but they are just snap shots in poor lighting conditions. Comments are welcome.

I've bought several of these over the years. Some have been good, some have been junk.

One repeated issue - nibs on Chinese pens tend to be fine, and that tends to mean that the feed will dry out more rapidly than on a broader nib pen.
