Zen with carbon copper twist.

I have been messing around with carbon fiber and thought I would add some copper to it. I started at one end with the tube mounted on the lathe and wound the copper (24 ga I think) around the tube and came back the other way trying to keep the spacing equal and this is the result.

I know, they are a little off. Its tough doing it by eye even though it probably is simple. + your eyes start to do weird things.

HAHA. I can olny imagine. Keep in mind, I am only nitpicking. I really do like this pen! :wink:

Neat idea. I think it would look better with the copper going only in one direction (just a spiral). That would also make slight variation in the spacing less noticeable.

My first thought was to do just one spiral but decided to go back up the tube. I think it adds a lot. The cross sections are very unnoticeable when looking at the actual pen.
