Yup, I do turn pens

My first time with a corn cob pen. It is already sold at the farmers market. The top is a little too bulbus, but it was the first euro I made, and the first pen in a while.

Well here is the second pen for the day. It is going to RTJW for the children. Cowboys Blue and grey, it came out much better than the corn cob.

I love the coloration of the corncob pen. What did you use for dye? After seeing the new woodturning mag. my son wants me to make one! I guess I'll see what cobs the squirrels have left in the yard. Nice job.

I like both, but the Cowboys colors are sure to be a crowd pleaser!

I colored the cob mid way through with a marker. Then sanded back down through some of it, so you had just a highlight of color.

Good looking pens. I am not a cowboys fan but the pen will be a fast seller. AFter all it's for the kids.
