Enjoyed making this early this AM. It's a York Gum Burl Wood on Jr. Statesman Rhodium/22k Fountain Pen. The York Gum Burl was a kind gift from Shawn Hill. Wood turned easily. Sanded from 150 to 600 grit. Transferred blank tubes to johnnycnc's Delrin Finishing Bushings (Eliminator), then applied CA (thin) X 2 coats, CA (medium) X 8 coats, MM (wet) to 12000 grit, HUT and Ren Wax. The finishing bushings by John Goodin are awesome so you don't have to worry about a piece of acrylic coming off with a bushing and leaving a chip at an edge of the blank. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
