York Gum Burl finished on a cigar. Skew'd down just shy of bushings. 400-600 sand. Applied 3 coats of thin CA to get it started. Then 4 coats of medium and finished with 3 more coats of thin, just to fill any small ridges before polishing. Sanded 400-600, wet MM to 12k, Hut and Ren.

Its just another Burl but I love the natural character of woods.

Thank you for looking.

Thank You Rob. I appreciate your compliments. I watch your posts and you do some gorgeous work. So it is nice to get "kudos" from the PROS.

Nice Piece

That pen looks flawless. Excellent choice of wood, hardware and good photography too! I've got some "learnin'" to do!

Great looking pen. Did the CA flake off a bit down by the nib? Kinda looks like it did at the bottom of the pic.

No Sir! You made me jump up, run over the cat and kick the dog to get to it! It's a shadow, I guess, because it's ok, thank goodness! PM me your address where I can send you the vet bill!
