Cartridge pens seem to be in vogue right now, so here is a quick snap of one of mine. I didn't bother doing much image editing beyond crop and gamma correction, but here it is.
Something about the standard pen nib on a cartridge just seems incongruous to me, so I like to use a real bullet instead. This one is a 30-06 with ballistic-tip bullet and whitetail antler (showing a little bark). I chose a black titanium plating to echo the bluing on a rifle. The bullet and case are clear powder-coated. The antler is finished (a little over-finished, I think) with CA.
I showed it to a neighbor and threatened to have it engraved "Bambi" -- she said I was horrible.
This pen will be going to a gunshop soon, for their display case. I hope it won't stay there too long.
