You remind me of a friend and his wife in Tokyo back in '87. My wife and I had been there for about a year and then this couple (co-workers with our org.) arrived.

They loved sports and wanted to join a tennis club near their home. They went and struggled through the language but did their application. The manager said OK, you can start with level 1. (My friends were MUCH MUCH better than average and very athletic.) They said, "maybe we should start up a little higher." The manager said "OK, lets go look and you tell me where your level is."

MY friends looked at level 2 and said, "Oh we are beyond that"

Looked at level three and said "We are beyond that".

They looked at level 4 players and not wanting to brag about being better said, "This is about where we play!'

The manager said, "But you just can't start at the top!"

Dang, for someone who just started, your techniques are "Moving up, fast!"
