The clip was made from wax then cast into sterling silver. You can find a lot of commercial casters and wax is fairly inexpensive. You can work the wax my hand or machine or both. Once you have a cast part you can get a mold made and have more wax parts injected to make more castings. There is a lot of information on the web google lost wax casting.
