Not a common but very beaut burl. In Australia a tremendous amount of normal Yellow Box is a prized woodstove timber, builds up and gives great heat and is heavy and dense. People shy away from burning burl only because it is mongrel stuff to cut. A number will not use the timber as it burns so hot it can cause failure in equipment such as slow combustion stoves.
