This is a new Berea kit called the Yari, that I purchased from Exotic Blanks. The finish is called Hardite and Chrome. Hardite is apparently a new plating for Berea. The blank is an acrylic from Exotic Blanks, called Hawaii Blue Mesh. I really like the blank and the shape of the pen.

I thought Yari was an unusual name for a pen kit, so I looked it up to see if it meant anything. It does, and it has a cool definition.

I was initially going to leave a slight bulge in the body, but decided at the last minute to make it straight. I'm glad I did, I think a straight body is more in keeping with the lines of this kit.

Very sharp looking! I like the style of the kit and the blank you chose fits the chrome. Great, now you are going to make me spend money...I'm browsing over to exoticblanks as we speak...

Jim, I think that looks wonderful! I'll have to try some of those. And I wholeheartedly agree that this should be a more or less bushing to bushing pen.

Regards,
Michael

Thank you Jim!! Not only for posting the pen, but for explaining the origin of the name!

Since it is based on a spear-like weapon, I would agree it should be slender and sleek in design and your example certainly is!! GREAT job--may be additional m's in it, for you!!:biggrin:
