Finally got some time in the shop after having gotten a load of blanks from Ireland and Scotland a few days ago. OK, sure I was an hour late picking the kids up but they're just fine...

(Sorry about the cat hair - one of these days I'm going to make one of those photo box thingies)

And when you build a photo box, be sure the cat doesn't find it or it will become kitty bed before you know it!

It's Wych Elm Burl. Wych is pronounced "witch". There's debate between the origin of the word - the original root meant pliant or bendable but they also used the branches for "witching water" (probably because the branches were pliant or bendable)

Probably way more than you wanted to know.
