Here's my 1st try at the WW casting. Well, this is the first batch of blanks that could be made into a pen atleast. I used Silmar 41 PR and alumilite dyes for color. I'm pleased with the outcome. I really like how it looks like there are rips in the wood and the resin is kinda bleeding through. Also, that's not an oops band on the end, it's just where the wood ended and the black paint from the tube is showing through yellow resin so it makes it look kinda green. I'm not sure what type of burl the wood is...got it in a box of cutoffs from Nolan (BIG thank you here!) I sanded to 800, sanding sealer, 15 coats thin CA, MM to 12000, buffed with tripoli and white diamond, and plastX polish. I had fun making these so who knows what I'll try out next. Thanks for looking and any and all comments/critques/questions appreciated!
