"Worthless Wood" Cherry Burl pen

This is my first attempt at a worthless wood pen. I'm really pleased at how it turned out.

So, did you cast it yourself or is that one of Mesquite Man's blanks?

I cast it myself. It's from a piece of burl like the one it's resting on. It was just a little too short and the rough edge dipped down on one side, so I rough-turned it a bit large, popped it in my mold (I got one of the resin saver minis) and filled the rest of the way with black resin.

I'm new to casting, and this is only the third thing I've cast. I had been worried that it wouldn't fill well without a pressure pot.
