First time using this material, and man it was the most challenging material I've used so far. Fossilized Wooly Mammoth molar. Liking the final results, think I'll be doing more of these...

Beautiful blank, and a wonderful final pen. You did it proud, and the challenges were worth the effort - well done. I love the colored striations, very cool.

Lyle, I'm not on Facebook, would you mind letting me know the price of these blanks? It is a beautiful pen, you did an outstanding job turning it. I imagine with the rarity of the material, you should be able to ask for big dollars for the pen.

Len, I ordered these from Russia, and the 4 I ordered were priced between $70 and $85 each, plus shipping. There's a guy in Canada that sells similar blanks- looks like a little higher price per blank, but likely lower shipping costs, especially with you already in Canada. His site is www.thehouseofmammoth.ca
