Wood segments with aluminum

Decided to try my hand the other night at segmenting using aluminum. If I didn't have my woodchuck pen pro I probably wouldn't have. The aluminum is .020" thick and the wood is Paduk and Black Cherry. More crappy pics using my cell phone. It's always with me so it's what I use . I mostly use the pics just to keep track of what I've made.

The first is a Gatsby and the second is a Polaris. The Polaris a hard pen to dress up IMO. Doubt I'll be making any more of them anytime soon.

Earl, depending on how or where I want to make a cut I simply stack two pieces together with two-faced tape and cut it on my band saw. It takes a steady hand to cut straight lines and you have to keep everything on center.

Glad you asked that Earl, I was wondering the same thing. Now I gotta see how big of mess I can make tryingto make it work.
