Wood segments with aluminum

Decided to try my hand the other night at segmenting using aluminum. If I didn't have my woodchuck pen pro I probably wouldn't have. The aluminum is .020" thick and the wood is Paduk and Black Cherry. More crappy pics using my cell phone. It's always with me so it's what I use :rolleyes:. I mostly use the pics just to keep track of what I've made.

The first is a Gatsby and the second is a Polaris. The Polaris a hard pen to dress up IMO. Doubt I'll be making any more of them anytime soon.

Nice pens! IMHO, the Polaris looks great! I'm puzzled over how you cut for the segmentation.

Earl, depending on how or where I want to make a cut I simply stack two pieces together with two-faced tape and cut it on my band saw. It takes a steady hand to cut straight lines and you have to keep everything on center.
