A friend sent the wood. The finial end is warthog tusk to go along with the African olive root.

Those are some beautiful patterns in that wood.

The tusk is a nice addition as well. I have a few if those but have not tried them yet.

Thanks for the kind words. Steven, that's really not an oops band as it was planned that way. The warthog tusk came from the same friend!
