This was shopped to my client today. they sent cork from a spent bottle as a gift to their boss.

If they sent you the cork, then you missed out on the fun part of making a pen with a wine cork.:biggrin:

Nice pen. I have a bunch of corks waiting for me to decide how to use them.

Did you seal the cork, or did you leave it so that the smell would still be there for a while?

Nope, it is sealed . would not last otherwise. I did, however, send shims of the white oak because they retained the smell. Also sent them a wine stopper, and upgraded the ink to a gel. Oh, and I made a leather pen carrier with a wine cork sewn into the cover. I slit the wine cork and then spread it out to be sewn. Should have taken pictures of it.
