Here is another blank I cut and dried myself. Can anyone tell me what kind of wood it is. The kit is a Woodcraft copper slimline. I turned the upper blank bigger per Evelyn's request. Let's see who will be the first to get it right.

You are right Bill it is Dogwood well don. It turns really nice and takes a good finish. I think I'll try using dye next time.
