Here are some pens I've made this week:

A pen from one of the blanks I won in Curtis Seebeck's raffle. Thanks Curtis

A mesquite burl with a snake skin CB. There is something you can do with the blanks that don't quite cooperate.

5 seven mm pens made for an order to ship tomorrow.

Three more pentel pencils:(top to bottom) red crushed velvet, cocobolo, bees wing nara

These are all exquisite. Gives the rest of us 2 things to look foward to being able to someday - better pen making and retirement. Mesquite with snake cb my favorite.

Here you go. I just took a snake skin blank and sliced off a section and sandwithced it between two black washers and then glued it all to the end of another slimline blank.

Don, the cactus is fantastic of course, goes well with the black ti. I also like your 7mm's as well as the snakeskin cb. On your 7mm's what did you use for the center bands on the two on the right of the picture? Where did you get the second 7mm blank (black and white swirl)? It looks like clouds, very cool.

Thanks Tommy for the comments. I like any thing with snake skin...entire pen or just parts. The top two 7mm pens are Berea Streamline Slimlines available from Bill at http://www.arizonasilhouette.com or Earnie at http://www.beartoothwoods.com . The black and white swirl was purchased from Craft Supplies USA at http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com and comes in 5/8 and a larger size.

My old eyes didn't even see it. Cool dry weather and carpet = static elcetricity. I have plastic baggies and pieces sticking all over. Thanks....that's kinda embarrassing. Borrow away! [:D]
