I have been waiting to use this blank for something so I could see what it would look like. I am not sure of how I feel about the Bocote with this, but I like the effect. The finish is 6 coats of CA micro meshed to 12000 on a platinum kit.

Looks good, I really like the segments. Segmenting like that is one of those things I keep trying but have yet to get to turn out the way I'd like. I think my skills with a saw are a bit lacking. I agree about the bocote, the grain seems to take away from the swirls a bit, but the actual design is great.

I don't normaly get on with bocote as it can be a little brash for my elegant taste BUT that particular timber grabbed my attention somewhat, bois très beau et exécution gentille:biggrin:
