This is a Fancy Slimline kit - Exotic plating from Timberbits dressed in a Acrylic blank called Watermelon from Woodcraft. Evelyn picked out the kit and I though it would be a nice pairing with the green plating of the slimline kit. I wet sanded from 1500 to 12000 mm and polished with hut plastic polish. I did not paint the blank or tube. Any and all comments are welcome.

Very nice Dan! I have made four of those in various styles (Concava and Designer are nice too). I gave all as gifts (to women). I changed the name to Spring Time. I thought it sounded better than watermelon :). Very nice Dan and thanks for sharing!

Thanks TonyL, Joe S and Robert for those nice comments. TonyL; I like the name Spring Time very much it does sound better and is more fitting. Joe S; I took a chance on not back painting and it paid off.

You are welcome. I have left mine unpainted, then started painting the tubes white - just to be on the safe side. Worked-out well both ways, but I never tried it with a slim line.
