Here's my third try at a watch parts/geared pen. Hopefully I'm improving. It's a Gentlemen's kit in green fiberglass, cast in Alumilite. In retrospect, I could probably add more of the "watch dust" in-between the gears. Then again, I don't want it to look too cluttered up. Any and all opinions are welcome!

Great job Mark, I gave up trying to use fiberglass because it gets too thick with the gears on it and I started cutting in to them. I personally like to see the other watch parts used but your with just gears look really good. I find using a lot of gears cost a lot too the gears are pretty expensive, using more parts and less gears can save you some money.

Keep up the good work.

Great Pen Mark,
Terrific Fit and Finish, and thanks for including the Capped photograph.
As mentioned by several others I also like the fiddley, tiddly, bits of the watch, and perhaps a few less gears.
I like to wonder what in the heck does that fiddley, tiddly, bits do.
I puzzled firstly, why three Dials on the pen, and why set at different times.
I then thought, well he is a Pilot, and he flies over several time zones, so hence the different times on the three Dials.
Any way that my story and I'm sticking to it!
Love your Work.
Congratulations,
Brian.

That green really stands out,I love that color with the color of the brass.

I can't imagine the patience it takes to do all that.

That's a great pen!

Green background really sets it off. I understand what the others are saying about more of the little parts...but sometimes less works well. Your pen came together perfect!!! Great job!!!
