Here is a "matching" pen and pencil set that I made for my dad. These are the sister blanks to a pen I made earlier for myself. I'm happy with how the grain and the features of the wood turned out, but I was hoping the curves would be more symetrical.
I didn't notice until after a few tear outs had occurred that the blanks were cut on a slight angle. I had to fill in a few gaps with CA, and even make a CA/sawdust paste to patch up a blow out at the end of the pen. Fortunately I was able to hide it under the clip when I assembled the pen.
Thoughts? Comments? Compliments?
