Here's a segmented pen I did for a pen swap on another forum. It was my first one that I did a custom cap finial on. Also, I pride myself on actually having an original idea:biggrin::biggrin: -- the custom end finial, and to top it off, it's segmented too!:glasses-nerdy: It's a walnut & maple Ti Gold Jr. Gent.

May I ask if you threaded the finial and screwed it into the metal piece or is it glued in?

It's threaded in, but it isn't coming out without a lot of effort. I turned a tenon on the end, planning to let the threads in the body cut threads on the finial. However, I didn't turn the tenon down quite as much as I should have, so it is a VERY tight fit.
