Here is four pens that have become known as Wal-mart pens. The first is cocobola, I had my first alergic reaction to it making this pen. Then there is acrylic acetate with beads, a little piece of hickory and last is red heart.

I love seeing these pens, I guess because I am frugal(read cheap)
Tom, you have been around for a while, how would you classify the quality of the mechanisms?

Ditto. Only thing I dont care for is the clip, sorta like a Pentel clip. Just looks cheap.

I need to hit the WalMart soon, see if I can find some of these!

Eagle, I think the click mechanism is better than some of the other kits we buy, they work smoothly and I hope last longer than some I bought.

great job on the pens..the tips are plastic (look inside them)..theese things are quite habit forming and make a good work pen..many people have that reaction to cocobolo..I turned a few tonight out of Caribbean Rosewood and have been sneezing ever since.

I picked up some today too, it's all plastic but the clip. That kinda sucks. If the tips were coated metal it would feel a lot better.

Eh, I'm going to use them to experiment with, then find some metal ones if I like the kit enough. I'm guessing someone got a hold of a metal one and just started making plastic versions of the same pen. [B)]
