With thanks to the contributors last week, here is the prototype pencil with eraser. Comments welcome! (On my computer it did not look this out of focus-sorry.)

Yes, the top can still be removed to access the pencil refill and the original eraser.

I suspect the actual customer model will have chrome fittings so the scripto eraser insert is not so obvious.

The top of the pen still extends the lead by turning.

Other questions will be happily answered.

Seriously A clearer picture would be great but the concept is proven.
Your customer should be plea$ed you went the extra mile to accomodate their reque$t!(if you get my drift)

Someone else "smoked" the cigar when they suggested a flat-top American. Altho, if the customer nixes this, a cigar should work the same way-we'll see.

Based on the way a cigar is constructed, it could still be used and the clip would be in tact if the customer wanted it.
Drill out the finial for the eraser to protrude through.The metal on the finial is easily turned off and a custom finial could be made using the OEM fitting.
