I swapped a few blanks last week with Erik831 on here. I decided that his spalted blank he sent me would look good on this virage pen. Turned it down, wood a little soft, so drizzled a good coating of thin CA on it. Let that soak in for a little bit & then finished turning it. Applied 8 coats of medium CA & then sanded/mm/Hut plastic polish to finish it off.

Inquiring minds must know.....what is the timber? Kind of looks like Pecan or maybe Hackberry, but it also doesn't.....go figure?

Nicely shaped and the finish looks awesome from my chair!!!
