Alternate Casein/Black acrylic Modesto rollerball.

Sometimes problems make things better. The cap portion was to be casein as well but it blew out. Black acrylic made sense to me and it turned out I like the contrast it created better.

Nice looking Pen, Butch.
Shame that the Cap Blew Out, were you using your Carbide Cutter?
I know that they are very popular, but in reality I feel that they are really more of a Scraper, than they are a Cutter, and certain materials, do not respond very well to a Scraper. Such as Segmented Blanks, several of the Epoxies, and Acrylics, as well as some natural materials, will "self destruct" with a Carbide Cutter.
If I have a need to scrape, then I use my Skew Chisel as a "Negative Rake Scraper", and I will use it in the Sheer position.
Nice "Recovery" with the Contrasting Black Acrylic.
Congratulations,
Brian.
