Vertex Click Makers Mark

This is a Vertex click pen in gunmetal. The blank is oak, from a Makers Mark whiskey barrel. This was commissioned by a friend of mine, for his friend who is a Makers Mark fan. This will be getting laser engraved. The finish is Watco Danish Oil.

The blank came with the obligatory certificate of authenticity.

Personally, I love blanks that are not especially noteworthy for their figure - but they are quite pretty in their own right!

This is a great example. I love this pen. Not a burl, not highly figured, just pretty.

Oh... Great job with the turning and finish .

I agree, I've always liked oak. I love the "rays" you can get in it.
