Vertex Chrome Pencil Kit and a Question

This is a Vertex Chrome Pencil Kit I turned last night using a Terry Rounded Dyed Blank from Exotic Blanks.

I am on the fence with the kit. I followed the assembly directions but have not been able to remove the pencil's sharpener / eraser without the entire pencil mechanism unscrewing from the tip.

Has anyone had the same experience and if so, how did you correct it?

I don't know about the issue with the eraser/cap but looks like you have an awesome dyed blank and did an expert job on turning and finishing!
Looks great! Nice match with the chrome.

Just pull on the plunger to get out the sharpener. If the mechanism comes out when unscrewing to expose the eraser try touch of blue loctite or finger nail polish on the end which screws into the tip.
