I live in Utah and I have never seen Utah Juniper (locally known as cedar trees) as a possible pen blank. One of my co-workers had some Utah Juniper as firewood in the back of his truck so I talked to him and took a piece to try to make a pen out of it. This is how my first try turned out. What does everybody think?

That is a fine example of turning Cedar....ah, I mean Juniper. Like the tight grain on this!
