Up in Flames!

I was in experiment mode with the clay again this weekend and decided to make some flames. Seeing and loving the flame pens that have been posted I wanted to try to make one with clay. I first made the the background and fired the piece. Once it was cured I free-handed the pattern, carved, backfilled with cobalt blue clay, and fired the piece again. Finished it with CA and done! It wasn't perfect, but with a little tweeking I think this technique may be a keeper.

I also have a new camera (for LOML:wink on the way so hopefully I can improve my photo skills.
