Attempted another slimline. Put a little dip/bulge near the tip for a more comfortable grip. The blank came from a grab bag. Anyone have a guess? The wood was relatively hard and the black part seemed a little waxy:confused:.

I'd vote for Mpingo (African Blackwood), instead of B&W Ebony. The B&W Ebony I've worked with has all been lacy black (not solid like this) on creamy white, where this looks more like the line between sap & heartwood of Mpingo.
