In order to see the fine detail the photo needs to be bigger. I cannot remember the size limit but I think you are still way under it. The tiger maple looks great I bet it is better looking in person.

Beautiful job , Love the blank the chatoynce in that wood is awesome , still hate the kit , way too gaudy but overall a beautiful pen . :bananen_smilies046:

Is that ca only ? Or did you do something to the maple to get the grain to pop ? Dyes maybe ?? I looks awesome !

i only used one coat of blo to pop the grain then four coats of med ca.
m meshed to 12000 then one coat of ren wax.
