Ultra Cigar pen

This is an Ultra Cigar kit and Ultra Curly Koa that I got from Kalai. Thanks Kalai and thanks for the freebies too!

I made this one for my wife and she seemed to really like it. I finished it with CA & BLO. I didn't know I could get blo at walmart till I stumbled across it looking for some denatured alcohol.

Can anyone notice anything different about the kit?

UMMM, you changed the clip? I really like the wood, you did a great job with it. I don't like the kit, but my hubby does so I am sure there will be a few in the shop soon.

Beautiful blank and well turned.[][] As I have said before I'm in two minds about that kit and I have seen only a couple of rare examples when I would say "Wow".

Very nice pen! I like the ultra as well, but I think they're a bit over-priced.

Yep, they look better with the switched nib. JMHO

Great looking pen, I think switching the hardware around makes the pens look better, I just wish it wasn't so over priced [:I]

That's right Hughbie. I had a chrome kit and gold kit and said "What the heck. Just switch'em!" I thought it turned out better that way. I agree with everyone else about the price. A little too high!
