Two tone African Blackwood burl.

It has taken me two weekends to make and was a royal pain in the arse! I guess nothing this spectacular is easy to make.

The pen itself is a Broadwell Art Nouveau fountain pen in black titanium and 22k gold.

Finish is CA and I had to redo it three times before I got it perfect. I almost gave up on it but the wood is so stunning I just couldn't.

Looks great Stephen! I have a piece like this, but less sapwood, and have been waiting to turn it. The burl figure is so subtle when it's hidden in black. I'm sure the photography was just as difficult!

Very cool, love the wood and love the kit. It looks like a great pen to use. Definitely worth the extra time and effort you put into it. Thanks for letting us see it. Paul
