The two latest additions to my IAP Turner Pen Collection illustrate the versitility of the much maligned Slimline.

First this very nice and very interesting work of Brian Anderson a.k.a. JustmeinMS -- Brian Anderson slimline.jpg

I love the blank on this work of Doug Swanson a.k.a. AlanKulwicki7 it is Desert Ironwood and I'm going to have to get some of that to turn myself.

Both pieces are Holly. Top piece is left natural with a decorative band inlay and the bottom was cut in a rope twist and died black. You presented it very well Leroy. Pic is great.

Glad you like the pen, LeRoy. The center band is Desert Ironwood sapwood. I thought it gave a nice contrast to the dark heartwood.
I've done a few 'Fat-lines' like this in tribute to Russ Fairfield and I don't know if I will ever use the stock center band again:)...
