The section for the wood pen is different from the 'normal' for you....a little larger for an easier hold?

The section on this one is 13mm thick - straight like the customer wanted - I prefer pinched or maybe with a lip.

I have to disagree with Joe. I really like the section. I think the contrast in materials makes the pen. Is that a CA finish? I'm thinking it's not, but with photos, it's hard to tell.

What type of wood is that? The reason I ask is I have made 3 pens with what I believe is the same wood which I was told it was Walnut, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

No CA finish. Just lots of sanding and then finish sanding by hand off the lathe.

The wood, I was told, is black walnut. I have no clue though. Apparently the trees can have two sections of different colors.

Nice job, as usual! I like them both. I'd like to try a wood pen myself after I finally made a "decent" acrylic.
You seem to have mastered the kitless. Congratulations!!
