A couple of Jr Statesmans I turned the past couple days. These are my second and third fountain pens. I have to admit that I might become a fountain pen snob at some point. They really do look classy.

First, 22k Jr Statesman with molten metal acrylester from Woodturningz. I really like the molten metal with this kit.

Second, black titanium Jr Statesman with black dyed box elder burl, CA finish. Came out better than I expected.

Look great. I am a fan of the molten metal blank, it is not as easy to turn as acrylics but if you can do it they always grab people's attention.

Thanks for the complements guys! The pictures really don't do that black dyed box elder burl justice. It looks good in the picture, but when you put it under a light, it shimmers. You can see some of the luster in the molten metal, but put it under a light and it literally sparkles.
