I have recently been interested, then swayed, then obsessed with the Lava line of blanks. I can't stop! Here are two Lava Explosions, the first one is done on a Rhodium Statesman RB and the second is a Jr Gent Fountain, also in Rhodium.

I have a drawer full of blanks from all over, but I can't stop with these. I want to turn nothing but Lava.

Wow, I like the second one. That gold streak is nice on that blank. Love Eugene's blanks. I have a bunch but I feel more like a collector of them than a turner haha.

Great looking pens Eric! I use that same blank you used for the 1st pen. Congrats!

Thanks Dale! I have a new (in fact my first) retail customer, a beautiful art gallery in Santa Fe NM, and I am trying to put together a series of pens that will stand out with all the large scale artwork there. I think that material will be able to compete with the artful distractions featured in the gallery.

I've been having fun trying to come up with pens that will be noticed, yet also have a refinement to them. This one is a winner in my book.

Cheers,
