Two recently completed pens.

---- the first is a Platinum plated Slim Line with Elephant Ivory barrels, with a light house laser engraved on the lower barrel (no color fill).

---- the second is an Elegent Beauty with Ebony barrel and Elephant Ivory inserts with a black filled laser engraved accent (on both sides of the pen).

The great laser engraving was performed by Stan Cook of Long Hollow Pens.

Thank you all for all the kind words ---

Skye -- this was my first go-round using Elephant Ivory. My son picked up the ivory at a gun show he attended, and gave me the pieces most likely to succeed as pens (width of the material was just enough for a slim line and the inserts on the "beauty")

I did try to make a smaller diameter slim line with some of the other ivory, producing the tip, barrels and cap from it. I was semi-successful?, having a crack appear in the tip and upper barrel. I should have used more size differential stepping when drilling, as the ivory tends to clog and stick to the drill causing overheating and thus the cracking.
Well, live and learn (Ihope).
