Two Curly Maple Slims

Here are two curly maple slimlines. One is natural and one is dyed with General's Yellow Stain. The natural one is for a ambitious kid who does some work around the house for us. He specifically wanted a pen just like this so needless to say he is thrilled. Finish was 5 coats of French Polish with 2 thin coats of Deft over top.

The difference is certainly there but it is not overwhelming. After turning these I went and bought some TransTint for more of my curly blanks. I ALMOST tinted my last Bocote pen red!! LOL!
