my first pen of this type i put a peace of padauk at each end as a contrast.

That's a great segmenting job. I also like the idea of using paduk as a centerband. But I never use stock centerbands on these style pens. But that's me, and doesn't take away anything from your work.

centre band

it's a good to have a change from standard centre bands some times i use corian as it add any colour or buffalo horn which i use on my bolt action bullet pens thanks for all comments always trying way to attract people to pens I sell
to fund this great craft I love.

Beautiful pen. I also like the idea of a padauk center ring... But not me - The last two times I turned Padauk I had a rash on my arms for 3 weeks. :eek:Snakewood also. Other woods with more toxicity do not bother me. I have given away my Padauk and snakewood!
