This is today's work. It is a black chrome cigar pen made of Tulip wood with a CA finish.

That's REALLY nice Dale. I wonder if a minor tweak in the size of the beads to make them closer in scale to the steps on the tip would make a different look? Something to think about. The beads are a great addition on wood with that much contrast. You get a different look as the grain dips down into the cove.

With great difficulty. I sanded the whole thing including down into the grooves. The loaded the whole thing with several coats of CA. Then I did a smoothing cut with a round nose scraper, and used a miniture beading tool to carefully clean out the grooves. Then came the MicroMesh followed by plastic polish.

I normally do a lacquer finish when I do grooves or beads, but was in a hurry today. Now I remember why it is better to wait and spray on the lacquer.
