There has been alot of talk about Tru Stone and Gem Stone lately. I really like turning this stuff, as they make great pen. Here is a group I have made over the past week.

Yes George, I have a new camera and have been having trouble with some pics, particularly dark colors like the Malachite. I have to play around when I get the time and see what I can do in manual settings. My site does very well for me, but I have beeen concerned about the Malachite. I have some Malachite I took with the ols camera and may have to go back to using it. I am just finishing off installing new flooring and haven't had the time to do much else.

JT, That is a Cambridge in Banded Malachite. Here is a single pic but still darker than I like.

Can not tell if that is a green or a blue but it looks sweet with that kit. That has some value there. Hope you get a better picture. Thanks for showing all of them. I have yet to turn stuff like that. I am going to try my hand at metal next.


I guess it must be green.
