Still having fun working on these Knight stamp pens.

The 1st one goes with the one I posted last time.this one uses the other 2 of 4 Night stamps from England. This one has the Black Prince 1330-1376, and Owain Glyndwr 1354-1416 on it.this one I picked the antique pewter kit for it.

The other 2 are the first ones of a collection using the 8 different stamps from St.Vincent, showing the legend of King Arthur's Court on them.On one,it shows Camelot, and the other one is the Sir Lancelot pen.

My plan was to wait gtil the QC problems were gone, but I took a chance and got the kits.Turned out ok so far.

On the other 6,I might try trimming the very outer edge of the stamps where they show where they didn't get printed in color all the way,but hate to lose the serrated stamp-look.Or maybe I'll try coloring the outer edges,I'll have to experiment.

Thanks for lookin'!

Steve

Hi Mark,I used Mod Podge to glue them on a white painted ,turned down wooden blank. Then 2 sealing coats on top of them. Then I dry for a day or two. Then I used med ca to build up oversized, then skewed down to size.

I like using the wedge-shaped cosmetic foams from Target. It really speeds up the process, and less ca waste. I found I had to turn the rpms down more, since more ca goes onto the blank.

I tried the Micro Magic 3 step finishing that CSUSA sells on the England Knight pen,and was amazed at the results. That takes the micro meshing out,so the finishing time I'll bet is going to be less finishing time needed for future pens.

Thanks,
Steve
