This is my first shot at casting. Ido not have any sort of casting equipment so I just used polyester resin and cast in a round mold. I plan to send this to a local kid now serving our country. The kit is a slimline with black enamel finish which if you look at it hard chips off. Thanks for looking.

I think it turned out very nice Perry. Is it all resin or did you cast over a hunting arrow shaft? Either way, I like it.

It looks fantastic and you should be proud. Far as the kit goes, I have not found it to be very common for the black to chip off on those kits..seems to be quite durable. I would deffinitely dissassemble and return the defective parts for this pen.

Cathy Sue, I no longer shoot,I did back in the recurve days. lol
I bought the arrow shafts at a sporting goods store.
Jeff, I guess I got hold of a bad batch,I have about 8 or 10 parts that have chipped.....Just lucky I guess.
